Planning Phase Syndicate
Planning phase syndicate is a collective of X-Wing miniatures game players, sharing their experiences with the game. They will strive to bring you a variety of content from training and how to videos all the way to streamed games and hot meta-takes. The show’s focus Will be both to teaching new players as well as helping to hone those veterans skills. With fun, educational, and creative content, they will endeavor to add value to the listeners X-Wing experience. With some in-depth discussion, laughs, disagreements, and just plain rants they intend to provide content for the entire player spectrum from beginners to top table finishers. As a teaser for the new Razor Crest Ship was released this week by AMG, the team gets together to talk about why they are excited to see Mando’s “dead” ship resurrected by the X Wing Miniatures team. They also share their thoughts on points updates and make a few predictions for what they feel will change. If that was not exciting enough, new ship cards were released that are a must to be covered. Also covered this week is the results for the GSP tournament Tatooine and they look at faction breakdown. Tanner also breaks down why he has gained some hope back after watching a recent paint stream.

This week we are doing a draft show where the hosts of the show will get to show off their list building skills by drafting different pilots to help them build their empire or resistance. They will have to then face each other with the lists they built to see who the champion will be. This fun exercise is the first in the series of drafting as drafting is a favorite thing of Tanners to do when he plays other games. Come join them as they do a GSP style draft for their first Face the Enemy draft challenge and tune in as they discuss why they drafted what they did.

This is episode thirteen and this week the team talks about tactics and tips for improving your game if you are working toward becoming more than a casual player. They break down some of their ideas and what has led them to play more than casually both online and in person. Matt then breaks down why running away from a battle turns his dials while the team hash out strategies to compete with this. The team analyzes the few new cards they missed from last week plus the ones revealed this week and give their hot off the press takes on if these can affect the meta. They also review a few lists from the recent GSP Jedha tournament that might surprise you.

Here is the breakdown of what each segment contains.
Academy 101
This segment name is determining training for new pilots that allow us to explain rules or mechanics of the game that will give a highlight or deep dive into game operation.
Covered in this week's episode is a break down of what CIS droids can do in a swarm formation.
Tanner will review the different abilities and why he loves flying swarms.
What Turns My Dials
This is an opinion segment where one of the hosts discusses something that bothers them about x-wing whether it be a mechanic of the game, ship, rule or any card.
Covered this week will be Matt’s distaste of points adjustments as well as undercosted upgrades and ships.
Roll Call
This segment is to highlight different pilots, cards, or rules that are important to our Academy 101 segment that we feel needs further discussion.
Covered this week will be other pilots and upgrades that affect swarms and how powerful they can be.
Charles covers Nash windrider, Squad Tactics, Disciplined, and Malarus.
System Malfunctions
This segment is to highlight different functions that have different interactions that are not as known but are interesting to learn about.
Covered this week will be Sloane Swarms.
Christopher translates the broken possibilities of what Sloan can do to an empire list.
Construct the Death Star
This segment is a team building exercise that allows for building a squad that is fun without being ultra competitive that is later used to play against other players Construct the Death Star list in our Trench Run Series.
The List of the Week will be built by Matt as he uses his multi faction choices to build a competing list.

They discuss the difference between points, what should be considered when assigning a point value, and what the most important aspect of the game that points values can affect.

This segment is to highlight different pilots, cards, or rules that are important to our Academy 101 segment that we feel needs further discussion.
Covered this week will be 3 squads that all have points set to not be able to spam different abilities whether pilot or upgrade.
System Malfunctions
This segment is to highlight different functions that have different interactions that are not as known but are interesting to learn about.
Covered this week will be a discussion on a Nora Wexly build, a different take on a separatist build, and a common Rey build all which have multiple unique interactions that you should be aware of.

What Turns My Dial
This is an opinion segment where one of the hosts discusses something that bothers them about x-wing whether it be a mechanic of the game, ship, rule or any card.
Tanner expresses his displeasure in not allowing SuperNatural on Darth Vader Defender and why he does not feel it would be a broken combo.
Rebel Hanger Cadets
This segment is to help players understand list building mechanics and why pieces are used to build lists that are decent lists to fly either in tournaments or during a local gathering with prize support.
Covered this week is Tanner dives into building a unique Republic list that uses ETAs and one Delta Aethersprite.
