#8: Learning Aces High

Welcome to the seventh episode of Planning Phase Syndicate.  This episode will contain our Academy 101, Roll Call, Rebel Hanger Cadets and What Turns My Dials segments.

 

Here is the breakdown of what each segment contains.

 

Academy 101

• This segment name is determining training for new pilots that allow us to explain rules or mechanics of the game that will give a highlight or deep dive into game operation.
• Covered in this week's episode Matt teaches us how to play Aces High and some of the cool rules that allow for a fun casual play.

 

Roll Call

• This segment is to highlight different pilots, cards, or rules that are important to our Academy 101 segment that we feel needs further discussion.
• Covered this week will be Charles highlights a few pilots from 1.0 he feels would be good to see in 2.0.

 

What Turns My Dial

• This is an opinion segment where one of the hosts discusses something that bothers them about x-wing whether it be a mechanic of the game, ship, rule or any card.
• Tanner expresses his displeasure in not allowing SuperNatural on Darth Vader Defender and why he does not feel it would be a broken combo.

 

Rebel Hanger Cadets

• This segment is to help players understand list building mechanics and why pieces are used to build lists that are decent lists to fly either in tournaments or during a local gathering with prize support.
• Covered this week is Tanner dives into building a unique Republic list that uses ETAs and one Delta Aethersprite.
