#4: Engaging the Holdo Maneuver

Welcome to the fourth episode of Planning Phase Syndicate.  This episode will contain our Academy 101, Roll Call, Rebel Hanger Cadets, System Malfunctions and Construct the Death Star segments.

Here is the breakdown of what each segment contains.

Academy 101

• This segment name is determining training for new pilots that allow us to explain rules or mechanics of the game that will give a highlight or deep dive into game operation.
• Covered this week was Engagement and End Phases.
• Matt talks through a high level process for engagement and end phases and some interactions that everyone should know when they sit down and play x wing.

 

Roll Call

• This segment is to highlight different pilots, cards, or rules that are important to our Academy 101 segment that we feel needs further discussion.
• Covered this week is Morna Key Pilot, Admiral Holdo Crew, and Cikatro Vizago with their interactions that change how engagement phase interactions normally happen.
• Live Demonstration was given using TTS to show how each of these upgrade cards can help you

 

Rebel Hanger Cadets

• This segment is to help players understand list building mechanics and why pieces are used to build lists that are decent lists to fly either in tournaments or during a local gathering with prize support.
• Covered this week is Tanner dives into building a unique looking Hyper Space swarm list from the Separatists faction.

 

System Malfunctions

• This segment is to highlight different functions that have different interactions that are not as known but are interesting to learn about.
• Covered this week is auto blasters, marksmanship, and R7-A7.

 

Construct the Death Star

• This segment is a team building exercise that allows for building a squad that is fun without being ultra competitive that is later used to play against other players Construct the Death Star list in our Trench Run Series.
• The List of the Week was given to John to fly against Tanner’s list from episode 3.
